Our Services
We turn engineering challenges into real-world solutions.

HVAC System Design
HVAC design is the process of engineering heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems that create comfortable, efficient, and code-compliant indoor environments. Our expertise ranges from small rooftop unit replacements to large-scale central plant designs for higher education campuses. Every project includes careful unit selection, detailed construction drawings and specifications, code compliance paperwork, and comprehensive control diagrams and detail sheets to ensure seamless operation.
An HVAC system is a means to an end. Our clients don’t want an HVAC system- they want comfortable, reliable indoor environments that meet their needs. Frequent breakdowns and high maintenance costs are frustrating, which is why we design systems that are efficient, dependable, and easy to operate and maintain. Our experience gives us the insight to create solutions that prioritize both performance and long-term functionality.
Studies have shown that after one year of operation more than half of HVAC systems are not working per design. The owners are not getting the performance they paid for because the system components failed, became out of adjustment, or simply were not maintainable. Robust reliable solutions that are engineered for the long run are the hallmark of CJ Enterprise’s work.

Plumbing Design
A well-designed plumbing system ensures reliable access to clean water while efficiently removing wastewater, all while complying with building codes and environmental regulations. This involves selecting the right piping materials, designing efficient layouts, and integrating components such as pumps, valves, and fixtures to optimize performance and longevity.
Whether designing a new system or upgrading an existing one, a thoughtful plumbing design approach creates a reliable infrastructure that meets the needs of both occupants and building operators.

Feasibility Studies & Life Cycle Cost Analysis
Feasibility and life cycle studies are primarily commissioned to determine the financial impacts of projects. Too many studies are highly theoretical in nature and do not consider the realities involved with a project. Our studies consider factors that are not strictly mechanical, electrical or energy based – such as the impact the projects have to ongoing operations of our clients, the time frame to implement the project, and the impact the project has to parts of the building (or campus) that is not considered to be part of the project.
CJ Enterprise has a licensed engineer with a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credential. We look for optimized solutions to improve the energy efficiency of buildings and central plants. This often goes beyond the scope of mechanical, electrical and plumbing system and expands in the energy markets and strategies for overall performance improvements. The skills learned from energy management coupled with our excellent engineering solutions are a value added to our clients.

Professional Peer Review
Peer review is a great way to improve a project and to help ensure that it complies with codes and the project goals. A second set of eyes on a set of plans, specifications or reports is a valuable effort. However, the review is only as good as the experience the review has. Our experience of reviewing documents goes back as far as 1985. Simply reviewing for conformance with code is not sufficient to make a project successful. Other factors need to be considered such as:

-
Constructability
-
Maintainability
-
Will the design get through plan check without major modifications?
-
Do the various components/systems work together?
-
Are there enough control points to make the design runs per the desired sequence of operations?

Construction Support
Limited construction support includes review of product data, shop drawings and responding to requests for more information. Construction support is essential to the delivery of a successful project per the owner’s project requirements. CJ Enterprise’s experience includes hundreds of successfully implemented projects and we understand the issues that the contractor and owners face during construction. We respond and review quickly because we understand that during construction - time is money.
